HSA NSW is well respected by the NSW and Commonwealth governments as an independent and apolitical organisation representing the interests of public health service providers operating in the NSW public health system. Through HSA health service providers know they have:
- Networking opportunities with industry colleagues and peers
- Opportunity to engage with Senior Executive staff in the Ministry of Health and NSW Health Pillars to enhance opportunities for collective decision-making
- Complementary attendance at the HSA Partnership Forum
- Opportunities to collaborate and partner on issues in common such as:
Members joining together to negotiate Enterprise Agreements in an effort to reduce costs.
Working parties consisting of staff from member organisations to work on issues, which effect those member organisations.HSA is a membership organisation and has three membership categories.
Health Service Member
This category is for public health service providers. A public health service provider is any organisation, whether government or non-government managed, funded to provide a public health service. A public health service includes, but is not restricted to: acute and sub-acute hospital services; primary health services; community health services; aged health services; rehabilitation health services; disability health services; dental health services; mental health services; cancer care services; child and mother health services; nursing services; pharmaceutical services; ambulance services; allied health services; forensic pathology; and health education services.

Association Member
